First Impressions

Oops, I'm a little out of order here. This is from the hospital, the first time Zachary and Daniel meet each other. Zachary's interested, but not quite sure what to think. Notice how he keeps coming back to take a look, but doesn't linger long. And the hands in the pockets!! Too much.

Baby Snores

Baby snores!! These cracked us up! He stopped doing it around 1.5-2 months.

Daniel's First Day Home

This video isn't the first time Zachary met Daniel, but it is the first day home. (I must say, I am horrified at my terrible posture! And I'm so glad to say that pouchy tummy is long gone!)

Pensacola

Earlier this week, we considered how quiet it was with family having gone home after Christmas and how we didn't really have any New Year's Eve plans. So, rather than spend a quiet night at home, we decided to go to the beach! We got up early Thursday morning (early, as in, when Daniel woke up at 3:30 for his early morning feeding), finished loading the car (how can two little people need so much stuff for just ONE NIGHT??), and drove to Pensacola, FL. Six hours or so later, we arrived. The weather was gorgeous. So warm and sunny, in fact, that we stopped at Walmart and picked up a couple short sleeve shirts for Curtis and Zachary! After we checked into the hotel, we hit the beach. Obviously this was Daniel's first beach trip, but it was also Zachary's first beach trip. Here is his first experience walking barefoot in the sand.

Another birthday present

Another birthday present: a pop-up tent that looks like a school bus.

New Bike

Zachary got a new bike for his birthday. It's called a "balance bike" - it has no pedals. The idea is that he will learn how to balance first without pedals so that learning how to ride a "big bike" won't be overwhelming and he won't need training wheels. When the bike arrived we put it together right away, then headed out to the greenway to try it out.
