Raspberries at Dinner

Zachary started blowing raspberries at dinner tonight, lol. It was the cutest thing. I actually managed to catch some of it on video. It's kindof amazing. I don't think he's ever seen anyone blow raspberries before, but for some reason he decided to keep his lips together and blow and voila! Raspberries.

When he's in a good mood (i.e. he's fed, changed, and not sleepy), Zachary likes to play with his toys and tell stories.

Cloth vs. Disposables

So we spent half the day over at our friends' house. They have a baby 1 month younger than Zachary. We were talking about middle-of-the-night feedings at one point and the mom commented that when the baby fusses in the middle of the night she waits for her husband to change the diaper, then she wakes up to feed her. My first reaction was, "Wow, he helps out in the middle of the night!" (Curtis does help on the weekends, with a little encouragement). But the second thing that struck me is that we don't change the diaper in the middle of the night. We do cloth diapers while they're using disposables. The nice thing about cloth diapers is I can double-diaper for night time. I use a second diaper, fold it up, and use it as a liner. Zachary stays dry all night (12 hours, easy). Another benefit to using cloth :)

Found his foot!

Zachary found his foot today! We've been showing it to him, but he never noticed it. He was sitting in the boppy and just reached forward and played with it. Just the left one though. I don't think he's realized he has a second one.

I don't feel good

I caught whatever was going around the family this Christmas. Of course Curtis and Zachary did too. I thought I was just about over it except for a lingering cough, until yesterday. The cough got significantly worse, and now today I feel awful. I took some cold medication. I'm sitting in front of the computer in my pajamas with my box of tissues and vaseline (to keep my nose from getting too raw). I have a thing full of fluid to drink too. I probably should have been better about drinking enough fluids earlier.

All I know is, Zachary is so comforting to have sitting with me! He's such a sweetheart and I can't get enough snuggles. He keeps trying to squirm off my lap, but he hasn't fallen so far. I'm concerned that his cold is going to get worse though too :( A sick baby is not a happy baby.
